National Scientific 20mm Headspace Vials

Manufactured to provide uniform glass thickness to insure even heat distribution for consistent sampling reliability. Vials meet or exceed OEM instrument manufacturer’s specifications.

Headspace vials are available in 6mL, 10mL, and 20mL sizes. With 20mm beveled edges. Use Tin plate seals with magnetic pick autosamplers. Pressure release seals are designed to open when internal pressures exceed 3.0±0.5 bar, protecting equipment during analysis of highly volatile samples.

Made of Type I, Class A borosilicate glass. Vials, crimp top seals, and septa sold separately.

20mm Headspace Septa

  • PTFE/Red Rubber septa are resistant to coring and offer good resealing characteristics
  • Gray Butyl is an economical septum for low temperature applications
  • PTFE/Gray Butyl septum provides increased chemical resistance
  • PTFE/Silicone septa offer excellent chemical resistance, resealing characteristics and low background
  • Use Aluminum Foil/Silicone septa in extreme high temperature applications
  • PurePak PTFE/Silicone septa are packed in glass jars to maintain purity up to the point of use

20mm Crimp Seals with Inserted Septa

Seals with pre-inserted septa are convenient and minimize contamination due to handling. Use magnetic seals with CTC/Leap™Technologies, Gerstel® and other magnetic transport autosamplers. PurePak™ PTFE/Silicone seals are packed in glass jars to maintain purity up to the point of use. Molded polyethylene SepCap™ is suitable for short-term storage or where repeated access to the vial is required.
