Vacuubrand® XS Series Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps

The Vacuubrand® XS series of rotary vane vacuum pumps has been designed from the ground up for best performance in laboratory applications. Oil-sealed, rotary vane pumps are used wherever an ultimate vacuum down to 10-3 has to be attained. The XS series is an excellent choice for freeze dryers, centrifugal concentrators or other low-temperature evaporations of high boiling point solvents, molecular distillations, and other applications where diaphragm pumps cannot provide sufficient vacuum.
The XS series is substantially smaller and lighter than pumps of comparable capacity, saving bench or floor space. These energy efficient pumps have very low power consumption and generate low levels of waste heat compared to competitive models. Designed for minimal noise and vibration, ensuring quiet operation.
- An integrated gas ballast helps ensure exceptional water vapor tolerances with minimal impact on ultimate vacuum.
- Internal components have been redesigned to improve corrosion resistance, reduce wearing forces, enhance performance and simplify maintenance.
- Internal steel surfaces have been nitrogen-plasma treated for chemical resistance and mechanical hardness.
- An oil shut-off device keeps the unit under vacuum and reduces corrosives from entering the pump unit while the pump is not operating.
The XS series is also economical - all of these features are available on pumps that are comparable in price to old-design belt-drive and direct-drive vacuum pumps.
